ANNUAL CONFERENCES

We encourage professionals at all stages in their career to come and experience a WEAI conference.

WEAI's Annual Conference is held in the summer each year and attracts over 1,000 attendees from around the world. The program includes over 300 concurrent sessions from all areas of economics, as well as a distinguished Keynote Address, the Presidential Address and Luncheon, the Graduate Student Workshop, Professional Development sessions, and participation by over 20 Allied Societies. Regular conference sites include San Diego, San Francisco, Denver, Honolulu, Seattle, Portland and Vancouver B.C.

The participation-oriented program format along with addresses by leading economists provides the best mix of opportunities for professional growth for economists at all levels and fields of specialization.

Keynote addresses by Nobel laureates Peter Diamond, Daniel McFadden, James Heckman, and David Card, as well as distinguished scholars such as Orley Ashenfelter, Janet Yellen, George Kaufman, Emmanuel Saez, Janet Currie, Charles Manski and many others.

ARE ECONOMISTS YOUR MARKET?

WEAI conferences bring together economists from around the world offering you the opportunity to meet your best prospects for whatever you offer in economics and related fields. Annual conferences regularly draw over 1,000 economists and International Conferences draw up to 500 economists each year and we offer you these ways to get involved:

A Table Top Display.

To maximize exposure to the conference attendees, table top exhibits will be held in the WEAI registration area for the duration of the conference. Coffee breaks will be set up in the same area to maximize exposure to conference participants. Available manned or unmanned (WEAI staff will set up and maintain your materials through the conference).

Program Advertising.

WEAI’s conference programs serve as an attendees’ guide to the conference sessions plus participant contact information, and is used as a reference after, as well as during, the conference. So your program ad continues to work for you long after the conference is over.

Event App Sponsorship.

Reach every attendee using the mobile event app with an in-app push notification.

Event Sponsorship.

Maximize exposure for your organization or company through sponsorship of a refreshment break or evening reception. Event sponsorship includes signage at the event and acknowledgment throughout the program.

Whatever your level of involvement, your organization benefits with sponsor acknowledgment on the conference website, in the conference program book, on the conference platform, and in the on-site attendee app.

BECOME AN ALLIED SOCIETY

WEAI Annual Conferences regularly include participation by Allied Societies. Allied Societies organize anywhere from just a few sessions to an entire conference including membership and board meetings. Whether your group is long-established or simply part of an emerging specialty, WEAI can help bring your members together and increase your visibility within the discipline.
